I just wanted to take a moment to express the joy I have recieved from this journey of creativity. I was browsing through our gallery, and I paused, thinking about how special the times were that we spent on the photoshoots.

And it is not just the actual taking the photo, it is the entire path to that day. It may start with an item of clothing that you wish to feature in a photograph, a song that inspires an emotion you wish to represent, or just a spontanious image that flashes through your mind that you simply must share with others. With Kelsey and I, we usually appreciate, if not share, the same vision with each other. Many times we have come rushing to eachother, fumbling over words as we try to depict the image we want to create. And then, when we are finally at the perfect location, at the perfect hour, in the exact outfit, and we begin to click the little shiny button on our cameras....we feel the magic of our dream becoming a reality and are giddy with excitment.

Sometimes, we just allow the photoshoot to come spontaiously and we come prepared with nearly our entire wardrobes packed into duffle bags. One of my fondest memories is of traveling to skagway with my sister, Nadea and Liz Hissem. What a marvelous day that was! It was then, that beautiful images like, "Dancing Dream", "Lasto Beth Daer" and "Cherished Dreams" were created.

I must say, my favorite part of a photoshoot is at the very beginning, when you have no idea of what kind of images you will create and what story they will tell. My favorite image that Kelsey has taken is "Beyond My Grace". I feel that our efforts to make that photoshoot happen were greatly rewarded.

I have had so many wonderful expiriences taking photos, and I want to thank Nadea, Liz, Ryleigh, Nellie and Sami for being willing models. Without you, I would not have the photos that I do today. Nadea is almost always there at a photo shoot, whether she is being a model, taking photos of me, or simply holding the costumes and equipment. I like to take  credit for some of the photos she has taken, simply because I staged the image or was there modeling, but really, Nadea is one of the most important creative minds behind Sherwood Photography.

And most of all, I wish to thank Kelsey. You were what made me inspired to start photography, and because of your willing spirit and creative mind, we were able to let the creations of our imaginations to take flight. We have progressed together. Though we have not accomplished outrageous feats,  I am proud of what we have done, and my times with you are some of the ones I cherish the most. I feel so fortunate to have shared our dreams together and I hope we have many adventures in store. Thank you, I love you so much.
